Hubster picked me up late (again) tonight and naturally, I am irritated because my little dude was asleep by the time we got home. The dad had to carry him to transfer to our room. I wanted to wake him up to show him the tracing book I got him while I was waiting for his dad. I decided against it though because he seems to be in deep sleep. I just settled myself beside him and gave him a million kisses.
My only consolation was when he lifted his head for a second, grabbed my arm, and put it around him. I managed to ask him, "Did you miss mommy?" , to which he softly replied with "Yes, ma."
Just like that and again my heart melted. For the gazillionth time, I wished I had the luxury of time and finances to just stay at home and be with the love of my life. I love you, Marcus. So so sooo much.
