How I Like My Weekends

I love how today unexpectedly turned out.

Hubster was supposed to be on "race leave" from our family this weekend but much to his disappointment, Roxy (his beloved race car) couldn't make it.  Therefore, we got to spend a quiet Saturday afternoon as a family.

You see, since Jax moved to his new workplace in faraway Taguig (we live in Sta. Rosa, Laguna - yes he drives to and from work every single day), it has always been a challenge to find time quality bonding time.  We only get to have dinner as a family (by that I mean all three of us together) at most thrice a week.  We hardly even get to talk about how our day went because by the time the hubby gets home, I'm either too tired, busy working from home, or already asleep.  Now typing this is making me feel guilty and sad.

Now you get why I'm happy today, right?  I could do this same routine every week if we had to.  What I like about it:
  1. My boys and I were up early, almost at the same time, and Marcus woke up with a really good mood.
  2. Hubs set up Marcus' inflatable pool and the little dude had so much fun screaming and playing with his cars (yes, he drowned all the hotwheels he could get his hands on) while in the water.
  3. The boys had some father-son bonding time assembling the Cars2-themed gift from hubby's boss.
  4. Nap time! I am not a sleep person.  No matter how tired or sleepy I am, I'd rather surf the net or watch TV than take an afternoon nap, but I found myself asleep with my boys earlier.  I should do this more often.  I felt so relaxed when I woke up.
  5. A long, relaxing bath.  Enough said.
  6. Trip to the grocery.  I love how I am now more organized with what to buy with my DIY weekly planner.
  7. My Serenitea fix in two weeks! Gosh, I missed my Okinawa!
  8. Me-time.  Like now.  Since Marcus turned in early and hubby went out, I have time to blog and plan about my future projects.  Oooh I wish I have all the time in the world!!!
Can all my weekends be like this?  Or can everyday be a weekend?
